Children to come to school wearing woodland clothes but with named wellies in a carrier bag-please wear school shoes or Velcro trainers.
Please ensure that your child has a decent long-sleeved first layer, with a slightly thicker named 2nd layer such as a fleece or thin jumper – you can even add a vest if it is a very cold day. All socks need to be longer to go over waterproof pants. A Spare pair of longer socks in the carrier is useful in case we need them. Dark coloured hat and mittens in carrier unless you want us to use their everyday set. Mittens do get very dirty. Please name all items. NB Named dark coloured warm hat and mittens essential in cold weather – No scarves, please keep hats simple, no bobbles or attached animal scarves etc. Please provide proper wellies rather than walking boots so that you child can go in the muddy puddles. Taller wellies are best as the trousers stay tucked in better and the water doesn’t go over the top – Thanks.
