The minimum acceptable attendance is 96%. If a child misses 8 days or more a year they will not achieve 96% this is reportable to Lancashire County Council and may result in a Penalty Notice being issued. Please ensure your children are in school every day and on time. School starts at 8.55am.

Y6 Wow activity at The Beacon Park On Tuesday, Year 6 went on a WOW day to the Beacon. As a pride, they sensibly walked to and from the Beacon keeping themselves safe at all times. The children worked in teams to build shelters fit for purpose, created mud-faced lions and self-portraits and also learnt how to create a compass by magnetising a needle. At lunchtime, Year 6 enjoyed a well-deserved play in the park before sketching the beautiful sight from the Beacon viewpoint. Miss Malins, Mrs Niven, Miss McKnight and Miss Blackwell-Price were so impressed with how the children immersed themselves into the activities and the nature all around them.

Year 6 were fantastic ambassadors for Bishop Martin and is a real credit to us all!

On Thursday 27 October, Year 4 Zebras enjoyed a visit from a Roman soldier as part of our ‘Romans on the Rampage!’ theme. We were very excited to handle a range of artefacts as well as trying on some Roman clothes. After learning more about the Roman invasions we worked on our marching skills, following Latin instructions. Check out our website page to see what else we got up to.
