Champion's League Results! The Year 5/6 Football team went to represent the school on Tuesday night at the annual Champion's League play-off. As we had finished in the top 3 in our league we played off against the top 3 from the other league. We lost our first two games very closely (2-1, 1-0) but then won our last game (3-2) against Holland Moor. All this meant we finished 4th overall in the town league (which out of 19 schools is a pretty fantastic result!). Well done to all the children who have represented the school over the last five weeks in the tournament: Eva Smith, Alan Wozniak, Tony Orfanos, Aaron Jones, Joe Gibson, Caitlin Newell, Nathen Rowe, Reuben Blackwell-Price, Ben Kelly, Lewis Bailey, Harvey Brophy, Lloyd Bray.

Infant/KS1 parents Could we kindly ask parents of infant children to say their goodbyes at the infant entrance and not stand near the playground fence, talking to your child through the railings. This will hopefully reduce upset for the children and helps towards a more settled morning. Thanks

Harvest Thanks! Can I, on behalf of the children and staff, say a huge thank you to all the parents who came and celebrated Harvest in church with the school yesterday! I don't think I've ever seen a school service so well attended in my time here and it was wonderful that the children and staff were able to share everything they had prepared in class with so many parents. We will be sending out more details about our Christingle service nearer Christmas when we hope you will be able to join us again! ATTENDANCE Attendance figures for week ending 10th October 2016. Congratulations to the Zebras on achieving 95.8%

Parents’ Evening Changes and Booking System Our next parents’ evening is on Monday 14th November. In the past we have closed early to start at 2.30pm. This year we are closing at the normal time of 3.10pm and Afterschool Club will still be running until 5.45pm. Appointments will start from 3.30pm. We will be using our online system to book appointments for parents’ evenings. You will be able to book appointments online for your child. The system will enable parents to book without double booking and also change times if you needed. We will send an invite to parents evening by text next week which will give you a link to the booking system. If you are not receiving texts off school, please ensure the office has your most up to date mobile number to receive this invite. Do not worry, if you are not sure just pop in to the school office and we will show you how to book or book your appointments for you.
