We’re seeking hands on, practical individuals who love working outdoors and as part of a skilled team to join our Apprentice Programme. You’ll be the future of our business, so we’ll give you all the power and training you need to develop an exciting career. Our electricity distribution network covers Northeast England, Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, so you’ll find yourself working in all sorts of places – from inner city homes to country fields, so you will not only get involved in a wide variety of tasks, but will also enjoy the benefit of a varied working environment. You’ll enjoy a great mix of practical experience, on-the-job training and will attend college leading to recognised qualifications. Prove yourself, and you’ll gain a permanent job. We are looking to train our apprentices in one of the following crafts: Overhead Lines – construct and maintain overhead electricity lines Underground Cable Jointer – repair, install and connect underground electricity cables Find out about the power you could harness and apply online at www.northernpowergrid.com/careers. The recruitment process for this programme involves completing an on- line application form and if successful, a practical assessment day which will include an interview. Closing date: Wednesday 6th April 2016 Candidates must possess a full UK driver’s licence at time of application.
