Dear Parent and Carers,

Welcome When we return to school on Monday 29th February, we will be welcoming four new members of staff.  Mr J Cotton, who has been appointed to cover Mrs Ball’s maternity leave. Mr Cotton will be working alongside Mrs Ball until her leave begins.  Mr J Evans, who will be teaching in Year 3.  Mrs Kennedy, who will start with us on Monday 7th March as a teaching assistant.  Mrs Shaikh, who will be working in the school office supporting Mrs Curley and Miss Maguire.  Miss Wood will be leaving us on Wednesday 2nd March to start her maternity leave. We wish her good luck!

Parent Notice Boards As part of our ongoing developments to improve communication we have had two external notice boards fitted; one near the KS2 toilet door and the other at the end of the Reception block. Newsletters and up and coming events will be posted on these boards along with any photographs of celebrations etc.

Office Opening Times The school office opening times are from 8.30am to 10.00am Monday – Friday, apart from Tuesday’s, when the office is closed. Please note the office does not take cash payments after 10.00am.

Welfare Despite several reminders, we still have children coming to school with large bags/rucksacks. Unfortunately, the storing of large bags is a fire and safety hazard as they do not fit on coat pegs and end up on the floor. School bags can be purchased from the office for £5.50.

Lateness Despite regular newsletters and requests, we are still having children being picked up late from school; this Tuesday we had 14 children not picked up on time. This causes a lot of disruption with staff having to supervise children instead of completing their work tasks and the office having to make numerous phone calls. If you are experiencing an emergency and are going to be late please inform the school office as soon as possible. Unfortunately, children who are picked up late from afterschool clubs may have their places withdrawn.

All holidays are shown on the school website- www.stannescrumpsall.co.uk- please do not use any other website as the dates are generic school dates and do not all apply to St Anne’s.

Witness St Joseph Penny Fundraising Once again, St Anne’s is taking part in the Caritas annual St Joseph’s Penny Appeal, raising money for children, mums and dads across the Diocese of Salford who need help. Not everyone has the things they need to make a happy home, but Caritas, through the St Joseph's Penny Appeal, reaches out to those vulnerable children and families in our communities. Boxes, for your donations have now been sent home; we will be collecting them back in on Friday 4th March and then sending them home again until the final collection during Holy Week.

NON-Uniform Day tomorrow- £1.00 donation towards St Joseph’s Penny.

Worship

Stations of the Cross will be led by Year 3 on Tuesday 8 th March at 10am in Church.

Year 5 Class Mass is on Tuesday 8th March at 2.15pm

School closes for tomorrow at 3pm and reopens on Monday 29th Feb at 8.45am.
