My Thinking:
I will say and recognise phonemes ‘S,A,T,P,I,N,M,D’ and use them to spell words.
I will use money to buy food items from a range of shops.
Student has used his money to buy food from the shops and snacks from the café with verbal encouragement from an adult.
Student has exceeded this target and he can say and recognise most phonemes. His spelling is very good and he can spell many words by sounding them out.
I can tell and show o clock times.
I will write short sentences for a range of purposes, eg recipes, shopping lists.
Student can now tell and show o clock and half past times. Achieved , Student’s confidence with his writing has improved and he will now ‘have a go’ if he is unsure of the spelling. His writing is legible with correctly formed letters and he can write for a range of purposes.
How my world works: I will sort foods into different food groups.
I can identify which is longer of 2 objects.
Achieved, Student can sort foods into different groups confidently and independently .
Achieved Student can do this without hesitation.
I will follow a simple recipe to produce party food for Christmas.
My creativity: I will listen to a range of Christmas songs and participate in the Christmas Carol service
Student has listened to Christmas songs and took part fully in the Christmas play practices.
Student has enjoyed following recipes to make party food which he has done very well without adult support.
ICT across the curriculum: I will type sentences to create pages in our class recipe book.
Student has independently typed many pages for our class recipe book.
Me and my community: My body and Myself: I will begin to access the toilet with some staff support. There has been a vast improvement with Student attending the toilet and although he can still become upset / worked up about going to the toilet he usually successfully overcomes this and will go with encouragement from a familiar staff member. I will identify how I feel in different situations, eg ‘”I am frightened of the dark, my friends/ family make me feel happy. “
Student can identify how he feels in different situations which he has done both verbally and in writing during SEAL sessions.
I will continue to explore what shops and services are available on the local high-street.
Student has done very well joining in activities in the community and he has visited Sainsbury's, Tesco and the health centre café and purchased items that we needed.
General Comments Student has had a great half term and has been a pleasure to teach. He is joining in much more class activities and has responded very well to a token reward system which has encouraged him greatly to complete his work/tasks. Well done Student!
