Listen to him (Luke 9:28-36) Jesus encourages his friends by giving them a glimpse (“as brilliant as lightning”) of himself as he really is. When we really recognise Jesus shall we be more ready to take time to “listen to him”?

Parents Evenings Our second set of Parents Evenings will be held on the 20th and 21st of April. More details to follow.

Half Term A reminder that school is closed next week for half term. We look forward to seeing you again on Monday 22nd February.

PTA Thank you for your support in recent PTA events. The current PTA funds are £1400. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for details about the Easter celebrations when Jon Barry, the Mayor of Lancaster will be joining us and drawing the raffle. If you would like a stall at the Easter event (£10 or free if monies are going to a charity organisation), please contact Miss Hannah. We are lucky enough to have secured matched funding for this event which will also be supported by volunteers from Barclays Bank.

Dogs There have been numerous complaints recently regarding dogs on the school premises. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed anywhere on the school premises.

First Holy Communion I understand that there has been some confusion regarding First Holy Communion preparations. Whilst we are happy to support the children as they embark on their sacramental preparation, it is the responsibility of the parents and parish to organise them. We advertised the initial meeting on the weekly newsletter and on the school website to reinforce the messages on the parish newsletter. If you missed this information at the time and wish your child to make their First Holy Communion this year, please contact Anne Marie Houghton through Cathedral House.

Woodcraft folk Lancaster group There is now an active local group of the Woodcraft Folk, the cooperative children and young people’s national organization with 400+ local groups. If you might be interested in your children trying, please have a look at https://woodcraft.org.uk/ and then find out about the Lancaster group from Damian Randle at
