Elizabeth O’Ubani, James & Kathleen Clarke Anniversaries, Paul Knapton Rip, Carol Gallagher Rip, Wednesday is Ash Wednesday a day of fasting and abstinence. There is a sung Mass at 9.15am which school will be attending and a said Mass at 7.00pm. There will be imposition of Ashes at both Masses.

The lamps at the statues of the Sacred Heart and Our Lady have been purchased in memory of Mary Gallagher. We thank Liam and his family for their generosity.

The Ladies of Charity are meeting in the top Sacristy following the 9.15am Mass on Wednesday. If any Ladies are willing and able to spend an hour or so once a month visiting the housebound, elderly or lonely then please try and get to this meeting just to find out what they do. They have appealed for new members for the past month but there has been little response. Please consider whether you can be part of this corporal act of mercy.

Year Four will have holding the class Mass in school at 2.15pm. If you are able to attend please do so.

On Sunday 14th February following the 10.30am Mass there will be a Lenten Breakfast in the parish hall to raise funds for Cornerstone Day Centre for the Homeless.

Lenten Station Masses. Please do try to attend these, as part of your Lenten discipline but also as a sign of our unity with the parishes of our deanery. This year they will take place:Wednesday 17th February at St. Dunstan, Moston Lane, Moston M40 9PA Wednesday 24th February at St. Stephen, 38 Chappell Rd, Droylsden M43 7NA Wednesday 2nd March at Christ the King, Amos Avenue, Newton Heath, M40 2RS Wednesday 9th March at St. Mary Immaculate, Clive Road Failsworth M 35 ONN Wednesday 16th March at St. Anne Crumpsall.

All begin at 7.30pm.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes 29th July -4th August. See notice in the narthex. By air prices start at £629 6 nights full board. Overland with a stop over each way prices start at £529 for 8 nights full board. If you are interested I have been sent a few booking forms.

Candle at the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. The list for 2016 is on the notice board in the narthex. If you wish to nominate a week for someone or an intention please mark it on the list for the week you desire. The donation is £5-00 which should be given to Fr. Glover. The candle will burn for the week as a silent prayer for your intentions.

St. Anne’s Book of Remembrance. At the Noon Mass on the first Saturday of each month I shall place “The Book of Remembrance” on the altar and the Mass will be offered for the souls of all those whose names are contained in the book. If you wish the name/s of members of your family recording in the book please complete one of the slips that are available in the Narthex and return it to Fr. Glover with your donation. This will mean that your loved ones will be remembered at Mass each month, in addition to the masses you would normally ask to be offered on their anniversary or in memory of their birthday.

Entered in the book of remembrance under number:Going into hospital? Don’t forget to inform Fr. Glover on 740 2448 who will advise the Catholic Chaplain or call the chaplain Fr. Matus on 834 4104.

Places in our school. It is essential that any catholic parent who wishes their child to have a place at our school registers them as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR CHILD IS READY TO GO TO SCHOOL as you may find a place isn’t available. If you haven’t registered your child even if a place is available your child’s name and offer of a place will not have been passed to the local education authority by the school and subsequently a place at a non catholic school may well be offered. We now have a number of places available for children in Year 3 and 4 due to our early expansion- please contact the school office if interested 0161 740 5995.

Prayer Group Monday 7.30pm until 8.30pm at 119 Kearsley Road Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets in church every third Sunday of the month 3.00pm until 4.00pm.

The Candle at the Shrine of Our Lady burns as a silent prayer in thanksgiving.

Copper Jar. There is a jar next to Francis in the Narthex at St Anne’s Church. We are collecting 1p, 2p and 5p pieces should you have any spare to place in it.
