Topic Following the response from the children after watching Tim Peak’s live space talk. The children have decided they would like to learn all about Space. We will include lots of science activities and focus on counting and changes. If you have any resources or artifacts relating to our topic please bring them in for show and tell Character day 4th March Children who attend kindergarten on Fridays are invited to join school in character day and come to Kindergarten dressed up as their favorite book character. Safety Safety: Please ensure you lock the gate behind you when dropping off and collecting your child. Please also note, parents are not allowed to drive into school or down the private road and must park on the main road. A complaint has been made by local residents regarding parents blocking the private road. Opening times Kindergarten cannot open until 8.50 until all staff are present. Also please note due to ratios we cannot accept children who are early for their session if arriving before lunch sessions commence at 11:50 after is 12:30 thank you. Please also note late collections will occur a £5 fee for every ½ occurred. Staff We are always available for you to talk to about any issues. Should you not want to discuss a problem or query in front of others please just phone and arrange an appointment. All staff have Key Worker children and they will observe and plan for your child on a weekly basis. If you are not aware of your child’s key worker please see the parental notice board (above the coat pegs). Children’s targets for this half term are also displayed here. Should you have any requests please let us know as we are always open to change and new ideas. Fees Please can any outstanding fees and extracurricular activities be paid if you haven’t already done so. Half term being active To encourage home links and children to share information between school and home we would like if you could send in any photos of children being active as a follow up from the life education bus during half term. Also any good healthy practices your child does at home teeth brushing self-care etc. (Please Email: angelap@st-peters-pri.lancs.sch.uk) . Appropriate clothing Please ensure your child wears appropriate footwear to Kindergarten. Also appropriate trousers to ensure they can access the toilet with ease. A water-proof coat is also essential as it is a Government requirement that children access outdoor provision at all times and in all weather.
