Today the Bishop has appointed as an obligatory Diocesan Second Collection for Caritas. There will be boxes in the narthex as you leave. Please give as generously as you are able. Rosa Navickas died on the 24th January. May she rest in peace. Her funeral Mass is on Friday at 10.00am followed by burial at Blackley. Ash Wednesday is on 10th February. It is a day of fasting and abstinence. There is a sung Mass at 9.15am and a said Mass at 7.00pm. There will be imposition of Ashes at both Masses. On Sunday 14th February following the 10.30am Mass there will be a Lenten Breakfast in the parish hall to raise funds for Cornerstone Day Centre for the Homeless. Lenten Station Masses. Please do try to attend these, as part of your Lenten discipline but also as a sign of our unity with the parishes of our deanery. This year they will take place:Wednesday 17th February at St. Dunstan, Moston Lane, Moston M40 9PA Wednesday 24th February at St. Stephen, 38 Chappell Rd, Droylsden M43 7NA Wednesday 2nd March at Christ the King, Amos Avenue, Newton Heath, M40 2RS
