WALMSLEY CE PRIMARY SCHOOL where getting better never stops
Pupil premium grant expenditure: Report to parents: 2015/16
Pupil Premium refers to children who currently are or have been entitled to Statutory Free School Meals. It also includes children who have a parent in the armed forces and children who are in care or have been adopted on or after 30th December 2005. At Walmsley Church of England Primary School the care, achievement and progress of our children is at the heart of all we do. We also place great emphasis on developing life skills for our children, such as, resilience, independence, responsibility and British Values. Our children are taught by teachers who inspire a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. We develop “the whole child” and ensure that all of our pupils can achieve their full potential irrespective of their social or financial background. A variety of different needs are deciding factors in how we spend our PPG. We look at the needs of individual pupils, including academic achievement, social communication, self-esteem, physical development, well-being and their own interests and talents. We also look at the needs of groups of children who may require intervention and we consider needs across school. We regularly look at the achievement and attainment of every child in school through a range of assessments including teacher assessed work, test based assessment, book monitoring, provision map meetings and pupil progress meetings.
