We have lots of events organised this term. Further information will be sent out separately.

You should have received the new Personal Learning Intention Maps from your child’s class teacher. We would really appreciate any comments or observations that you have of your child at home. The home/school diary is a useful way to pass these observations on. The parent meetings this week will also give you an opportunity to share them.

We will be announcing award winners in every newsletter so please look out for your child’s name and help us celebrate their achievements.

School Council We are taking part in the Blackpool Pupil Voice Initiative. We will be finding out about how children feel about safety at home and in the community.

Together Centre This term in the Together Centre we have run 2 Cygnet courses for families of children with Autism Spectrum Condition and a follow on module of working with siblings. Families have responded really well to the training and given fantastic feedback.

We are supporting 2 families with early communication resources to use at home; encouraging the children to request things they want like drinks and toys.

We are working with four families supporting behaviour by looking at triggers and timings to see if there are patterns to the challenging behaviours they present with at home. We can then look at some strategies with the parents to help manage the behaviour.

Friends of Woodlands The Friends of Woodlands organised a Psychic night on Tuesday 3rd November. The event was a great success and raised over £670 towards the Soft Play Space.

The school are holding a Christmas Fair on Friday 4th December. They would really appreciate some support on the day to sell raffle tickets and to man the stalls. Please let Samantha Peck know if you are able to help.
