Dear bchjdgshcghdsbs Dear Parents/carers and Pupils, Isle of Ely Primary School Dear Parents and Pupils, I regret to have to write to you to inform you that unfortunately, we need to delay the hand-over of the new primary school building at Cam Drive. This is the result of a problem with the utility connections, despite every effort having been made to progress this work as quickly as possible. This has had a knock-on effect on the programme for the surfacing work to the highway road to the school. Until this work is complete, we do not have a safe access to the school. We also need to have an independent certificated test of all utilities once connected. We aim to have that certification in the New Year. In order to allow sufficient time for the school to move it is now planned to schedule the move to the new school accommodation in the spring term It has always been our intention working with the school sponsor, The Active Learning Trust, to have a phased hand-over of the entire school. Despite the problems we have encountered with the utility connections, we have been able to make significant progress with the school building contract, and we now anticipate hand over in the spring term. The following accommodation is due to be handed over: 11 class rooms (including 2 early year class spaces) All school core facilities (office accommodation, halls, kitchen, staff room, and ICT and library area) Group space Once again, I am sorry for the need to delay the move to the new school accommodation, but trust you will appreciate that safe access to the new school is of paramount importance and thus has been the key decision to reschedule the hand over.
