There are lots of things going on in the last few weeks of term, so please keep your eyes peeled for letters and/or texts which will be coming your way over the next few days. As well as sports fixtures we have Christmas plays, Topic Fairs, an end of term disco and, of course, our celebration assemblies. I apologise in advance for any glitter that may ‘travel’ home on your child’s uniform – we shall endeavour to keep this to a minimum!

If your child is one of our Tree Certificate winners this week, please join us for our Celebration Assembly on Monday at 3pm to see your child receive their certificate.

Please remember our Family Photo session is taking place on Thursday 3rd December from 5pm – 7pm in the school hall. It will be on a ‘first come first served basis and photos will be available to buy immediately. Your child can be in school uniform or their own clothes and may be joined by other members of the family if you wish.

Unihoc Tournament

Congratulations to our Year 4 Unihoc team who competed at a tournament last week.

Our Year 4 team competed very well, and finished fourth out of eleven teams. This was a considerable achievement considering the transport did not arrive until very late to pick them up! Well done Reydon!

This week our Year 3 football team are travelling to Red Oak on Friday for an Active Learning Trust tournament. Good luck!

Thank you to those parents who attended our Phonics Information session and worked with their children to understand how we teach Phonics as a basis for reading and writing at Reydon Primary. For those parents who were unable to attend, please speak to your child’s class teacher if you would like more information.

Art Days 7th and 8th December We still urgently need parent help, newspapers and plastic tubs for our special art days. Thank you to all those parents who have been sending these items in as well as those who have offered to come in and help.
