END OF YEAR TESTS Homework

Your child has their assessments in English and Maths during the week of 7th December. This is an important assessment point, where children and teachers will find out how successfully they have started this year. Make sure they know their targets and work towards meeting them.

You should know all the tables to 12x12 and the related division facts. Use magic facts to work out new ones. e.g. 6x4 = 24, so 0.6x4= 2.4, 60x4 = 240 ‌

Year 5 children are given learning log homework every Friday to be handed in the following week. It’s best to spread the work out through the week rather than do it all in one go. It must be completed to an acceptable standard. There will usually be a maths task, spellings to learn and a Literacy or Creative Curriculum activity. Mr Smith runs a drop in homework club on Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes for children who would like some help with their work. Contact us on: 01282 612063 Or visit: www.lomeshaye.lancs.sch.uk
