I would like to thank you all for your support during our Parents’ Evenings this week. It was a very positive experience for our teachers and the feedback from the questionnaire highlighted how pleased you are with the direction in which the school is heading. We are always keen to take your views into account as we continue to make the necessary school improvements and you can use Parent View on the Ofsted website to further express your views. We will publish the results of the questionnaire next week when we have had the chance to analyse your responses more fully.

Be Safe, Be Seen!

Observatory Optical Ltd visited the school this week to see the children in the high vis jackets that they had donated to the school. We have already had the opportunity to use them when attending the church, the fire station and a sports tournament and the donation has meant that we can safely participate in learning opportunities around the local area. Our mission statement is ‘High Quality Learning at the Heart of the Community’ so we are grateful to Observatory for supporting us in this. .

Children not in school Thank you to those of you who bought poppies in school.

We raised £22.32 for the Royal British Legion.

It’s all Greek!

It was all Greek in Year 5 on Wednesday when the children had their Greek Day based on their current topic work. The day included Greek writing and number tasks as well as pottery and food tasting. It was lovely to see the effort that had gone into their costumes and the learning that took place.

Following a request from the Friends of Reydon Primary, the children will be supporting this national fundraising campaign for schools run annually by the three national Service charities. On Friday 20th November the children can come to school dressed in red, white and blue and donate just £1 to support the work of ABF The Soldiers' Charity, the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, and The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. A letter will be sent out with further information soon.

Art Solutions Apologies but the art days mentioned in the newsletter last week will be held on December 7th and 8th (not the 8th and 9h). Thank you to those parents who have already volunteered to help during those days but we would be grateful for more. Please contact the office if you could volunteer any time during those days.

Also, as part of this work we need to collect loads of old newspapers, ice cream/large margarine tubs and 2 carpet tubes! If you could bring any into school we would be extremely grateful. Thank you.
