This half term has flown by and I think the staff and children can look back with pride at what has been achieved. In the last few weeks I have seen children proudly representing their school at sport, singing at the church, bringing me examples of their improved work and explaining to me how they have improved it, cooking, excitedly sharing and displaying their learning in a topic fair, playing together and working together. I think I have the best job in the world! Can I also say thank you to our parents who have supported the children in their endeavours.

Friday 23rd October

Year 2 Football Competition Well done to our Year 2 football team who were runners up in the Active Learning Trust Key Stage 1 Football Cup. The competition took place at Red Oak Primary school in Lowestoft and the team played really well together, demonstrating some excellent skills, including a goal scored from almost halfway down the indoor pitch!

Pumpkin Soup Reception children were inspired by the story ‘Pumpkin Soup’ this week and had a lovely time making their own version of the soup. Luckily, lots of the staff also managed to have a taste. It was delicious!

The certificates will be given out in assembly after half term, so any parents of the team are welcome to attend on Monday 2nd November at 3pm.

It was lovely to see so many families at our Topic Fair on Thursday. The children were really excited to talk about their learning and it was a proud moment to see them so engaged and excited about their topics. Thank you to their teachers for all their hard work in making the children’s topic learning so active and fun!
