It really only seems five minutes ago that term was starting and now we are only one week away from half term! We seem to have packed quite a lot in and still have some events planned for next week. On Thursday, we will be holding a topic fair for the parents and carers of Years 1 to 6, to give the children the opportunity to show you what they have learned this half term in their topic work. They are very excited about it, so we would be delighted if you could join us at 3pm in the hall to look at their display stands.

Friday 16th October

Year 3 Matball Competition Congratulations to our Year 3 matball team who came third in a schools competition last week. The children were very well behaved and played exceptionally well, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.

Lost Property We have collected a large amount of unnamed school uniform. Please come to the office if your child is missing anything. Please could you also check that all uniform and belongings are named. Thank you.

Unwelcome Visitors in Key Stage 1!

Please be aware that we have received a few reports of head lice in Key Stage 1 recently.

Please check your child’s hair regularly by using a fine toothed comb, whilst the hair is wet, and then treating if necessary.

For further advice on treatments please contact the office for an information sheet.

Our school council have decided that they would like to raise funds for some further play equipment, by organising a Bake Sale on Wednesday 4th November from 3pm until 4pm. We are asking parents and carers to donate cakes and/or biscuits for this sale (get the children to help too!), and then come along to support the children in their charitable enterprise.

We will be holding elections for twelve new council members after half term. Any children who would like to join the council, need to design a ‘vote for me’ poster detailing why they would make a good class representative. Elections will take place on Friday 6th November.
