Course outline This course is designed to enable students to have an understanding of how babies and children grow and develop up to the age of five years old. What will I learn? Students will learn about family life and parenting. We will look at contraception and healthy lifestyles before and during pregnancy. We will learn about ante-natal care, birth and how to look after a new baby. We will study how children develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. We will investigate the importance of good nutrition and how to deal with health issues in small children.
