Friday 16th October I am delighted to inform you that our new website is now live and can be found at www.cathedral.lancs.sch.uk. There are many items already loaded onto the website and many more are planned. The website will be updated on a regular basis and will allow you to see the work that the children have been doing as well as downloading key policy documents and letters. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for the website as we want to make it as useful and user-friendly as possible. We have also launched a new twitter feed and would love you to ‘follow’ us @cathedrallancs Book Fair A reminder that the book fair will be open each evening after school and up to 60% of the money raised comes to school. This is a great way to support the purchase of new books for the school whilst getting a start on your Christmas shopping. Parking A reminder that parking at the diocesan offices is short stay (5mins) only. Please supervise your children whist crossing the car park as we have had reports of several ‘near misses’.
Harvest Celebrations Thank you for all of your donations towards our harvest collection; I know that the Olive Branch will be very grateful for your thoughtfulness. This morning we had a service of thanksgiving at the Cathedral to which all of the children contributed. Thank you to the parents who were able to join us. Talk Topic The topic next week is: “Serving other people is a sign of greatness” (Mark 10:35-45)
Leave of Absence Form A reminder that if you wish to apply for a leave of absence (for medical appointments, weddings etc) a ‘Leave of Absence’ form should be submitted to school. The new forms are available from the entrance hall / school website. In accordance with our Attendance Policy, if permission is not granted prior to the absence, it may be unauthorised.
