Natter and Nibble Thank you to the parents who came to our first coffee morning on Tuesday – it was lovely to chat to so many people. One of the things we considered was establishing a PTA. To discuss this in more detail, there will be a short meeting next Tuesday (6th October) from 9am. All are welcome! Lancashire Catering Services We are currently recruiting catering assistants for our school kitchens within this area. If you are interested in working within Primary School Catering on a casual basis please contact Karen Frost on 07833402903 for more information RE Inspection We have had notification that our Section 48 Inspection, carried out by the Diocese of Lancaster, will take place this term. A parental questionnaire will be sent home shortly. Vacancy We currently have a vacancy for a Welfare Assistant to work 1hr 15mins per day. If you are interested in the position or wish to know more details, please see Mrs Drummond. Collective Worship Next week is the turn of Year 1. Parents are invited to arrive at school from 2pm to share their child’s work before the Collective Worship starts at 2.30pm.

European Languages Day On Tuesday, we recognised European Languages Day by learning a little bit of Polish. Many thanks to the children and parents who helped the staff with ideas and pronunciation! School Admissions A reminder that if your child is due to start Reception next September, you must now apply for their place. If your child is in Year 6, you must apply for the secondary schools of your choice. All applications can be completed online. The closing date for applications is: Secondary – 31/10/2015 Primary – 15/01/2016
Art There will be a Key Stage 1 art exhibition on Friday 9th October from 2.30 in the school hall. Please come along to see the work the children have produced.
