Friday 11th September 2015 Welcome back! It is my delight to welcome everyone back to school, especially Mrs Nicola Holt, our new Deputy Headteacher and the children in Reception class. I hope that they will be very happy in our school. As you will be aware, you have the option to bring your child into school from 8.45 am and stay with them until the 9 o’ clock bell. Thank you for the many positive comments about this change. Photographs Tempest, our school photographer will be in school on Monday 21st September. The staff and I are looking forward to meeting parents at our information evening on Wednesday 16th September where we will share some of the exciting changes that we have made to our curriculum, resources and teaching methods. Refreshments will be available from 5.45pm and we hope to finish promptly at 7pm. If it is difficult for you to arrange childcare, we will provide supervision for children in school. Money Monday We are hoping that you will support our efforts to increase the efficiency of the office and lighten the burden on Mrs Drummond by only sending money into school on Monday mornings. This will allow all banking to be completed in good time and help us to plan our time a little better. Thank you!

Football Club Starts after school on Monday for those children who have signed up. Well Done! Year 6 led their parents and the whole school in an act of Collective Worship on Wednesday afternoon. Next week is the turn of Year 2 and parents are invited to arrive at school from 2pm to share their child’s work before the Collective Worship starts at 2.30pm.

Roald Dahl Fun Day On Friday 25th September, children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character; there will be prizes for the most imaginative / original costume. The teachers have planned exciting activities and Becky, our cook is planning a special menu for the day. More details will follow.
