It has been lovely to see so many parents getting involved with the school this week. We have received help with organising the library, accompanying the Year 1 school trip and arranging a number of different events being planned by the Friends of Reydon Primary. I am also looking forward to officially meeting our new Governors, at the first meeting of the year, on Monday. Thank you to all those who have been, and continue to be, involved in the school as it continues on its journey towards rapid improvement. Your involvement and support is crucial and highly appreciated.

Friday 9th October

Year 1 Trip to Carlton Marshes Year 1 had a lovely time yesterday at Carlton Marshes and we are pleased that the sun shone for them! The children found out lots of information about plants and their habitats.

Thank you to Miss Bullen and Mrs Cater for organising the trip and to our parent volunteers.

Shoe Box Appeal This year the Friends will be organising the Shoe Box appeal again. Leaflets and letters will be going home with your child with more information about this important cause.

The shoe boxes need to be in school by Friday 13 th November.

Lost Property We have collected a large amount of unnamed school uniform. Please come to the office if your child is missing anything. Please could you also check that all uniform and belongings are named. Thank you.

Tag Rugby Club Following a request from the Solebay United junior football club, I have rearranged the Tag Rugby club, starting Friday 6th November, to run from 3.15pm until 4.15pm. This will allow the football club members to attend their training as normal.

Apologies that a letter was not sent home regarding the photos on Tuesday. In order to rectify the situation, I have organised a further photo session on Thursday 3rd December from 5pm – 7pm. This is an opportunity for the whole family to have a picture taken by AJS photographers. Photos can be approved and bought on the evening, although there is no obligation to buy.

This is an ideal Christmas gift idea, or if your child was absent on Tuesday, they could be photographed in their school uniform, with or without brothers and sisters, if you wish. Sittings will be on a first come, first served basis.
