On Wednesday the Ladybirds and Caterpillars got an emergency call from Mrs Gray to say she had found something very strange on the school field. Once the staff went out and made sure it was safe we went out to investigate. To our surprise we found a trail of enormous footprints, much bigger than any of ours. The footprints led to a huge nest of eggs, but what animal had left them there? After much thought....there was really only one answer. It must have been a DINOSAUR!!! The children thought it was important to inform the juniors as the nest was near their playground and they wanted to keep them safe. Now the eggs have been removed and the children in the Early Years are looking forward to learning all about dinosaurs over the next couple of weeks in their new topic 'Walking with Dinosaurs'. Early Years Key Person Tea Party! Thank you very much to all of the parents/carers who came to our Key Person Tea Party on Tuesday 29th September. It was lovely to see you all and the children very much enjoyed having you in school. High 5 Netball th

Tuesday 29 September saw 7 children from years 5 & 6 take part in the West Lancashire School Sports Partnership High 5 Netball tournament at Glenburn Sports College. 13 schools took part and were split into 2 groups with Bishop Martin playing 6 matches in the qualifying rounds. They played Moorside (4-0 win), St. Francis (4-0 win), Woodland (0-0 draw), St. James (4-0 win), St. Richards (1-1 draw) and Delphside (4-0 win). These results meant we finished 2nd in the group and played Little Digmoor in the 3rd/4th place play off. Bishop Martin won 4-0 to finish 3rd overall. All the children played really well and the behaviour as always was fantastic! A big thank you to all the supporters that came out to watch! Team: Molly, Louise, Ruby, Aaliyah, Ben, Lloyd and Harvey.
