Messages from Moor Hey Newsletter Number 2 (18.9.15) Moor Hey Coffee Morning We are holding a coffee morning on Wednesday 23rd September for Moor Hey School and the Tower Wood residential visit. Parents, carers and families are welcome to come along between 10.30am and 12.00pm. We will gratefully receive donations of cakes and raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are available to buy now from the school office for 40p – please send money into school in a named envelope. This is a great opportunity to meet some of our fantastic young people. We look forward to seeing you. Cake Sale We will be having a cake sale on Thursday 24th September at break time. Pupils are invited to come along and buy cakes for 20p each. Year 11 Lockers Pupils in Year 11 are able to have a school locker at a cost of £3. The payment will be given back at the end of the school year if the locker key is returned.
Autumn 2015 U-NITE Coffee Afternoon U-Nite invite you to attend their coffee afternoon for Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday 25th September from 4.00pm to 6.30pm at The Zone, YPS Centre, Leyland. There will be cakes for sale, games and activities and free tea and coffee! Please go along and support if you can. Thank you. Around the World Special Lunch Week We will be having a week of special lunches from Monday 12th October to Friday 16th October. The theme is ‘Around the World’ and each day’s menu will be food from different countries: Monday - Italian, Tuesday - Chinese, Wednesday – American, Thursday - Indian, Friday English. If your child does not normally have school lunches you should have received the menu choice list. The cost will be £11 for the week (£2.20 per day). Special Lunches We will also be having the following special lunches: Wednesday 4th November – Roast Dinner Day And Thursday 5th November – Fireworks Lunch A menu has been sent home to those pupils who do not normally have lunches. Cost is £2.20 per lunch.
