SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER 2015 Hello and welcome to a new school year, ‘A Gateway to Learning’ Your children have made an excellent start in their new year groups and I would like to say ‘thank you’ to you for all the hard work involved in ensuring they look ‘Rye Smart’; shoe shopping with children is never a favourite activity, but smart school shoes really do make us feel ‘dressed for school’! There is a lot of information on this newsletter about events and changes, I hope you will come and speak to me either in the morning or after school to clarify anything required. We are very proud of our school and will continue our journey to ensure the best education and care for your children, so please be aware that any change has always been carefully considered. Our enthusiastic staff are know to you, as they were with us last year and the only changes will be due to Miss Loughman’s wonderful news that she is having a baby, her timing is perfect as Miss Baker will be returning from her travels to take Killer Whales through the rest of the year. Killer Whales, I know will be celebrating having two amazing teachers! We are saying ‘goodbye’ to Mrs MacDonald, who is going to be very busy being ‘Mummy’ with the imminent birth of her second child. She will be greatly missed by staff and children alike.
