Dear Parents and Carers Thank you for your generous support during last Friday’s St Anne’s Celebrations. We had a wonderful afternoon and raised a magnificent £1200, which will be used to develop our playground in the autumn term. We finish school for the summer holidays this Friday at 1.30pm and pupils return to school on Thursday 3rd September; pupils should be in their classes no later than 8.55am. During the summer holidays, we are having a significant amount of work undertaken on the school building and surrounding areas. This includes; completion of the KS2 extension; a new internal corridor that will allow us to access all areas of the school without going through the hall and a full refurbishment of classes from Year 2 to Year 4. We are also hoping to have the external facias repainted and new entrance doors fitted. Access to school on the first day back will be via your child’s classroom door; members of staff will be available to point you in the right direction. Presentation and Music Assembly – Thursday 16th July at 9.15am. We are having a special assembly this Thursday to celebrate some of our pupil’s achievements. If your child has guitar lessons on a Wednesday, they need to bring their guitars for the assembly; they will be performing a short piece of music with their music teacher. If you would like to attend the assembly and watch your child play their guitar please come along at 9.05am. We will also be inviting parents of children who have been selected to receive a special end of year award and will be informing those parents by phone. Leavers Assembly- Friday 17th July at 9.15am. This Friday, we say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils. They have been a credit to the school and will all be missed. Mrs Clegg and Year 6 have prepared a special goodbye assembly for pupils and parents on Friday morning; I am sure it will be emotional for us all. Good luck and God Bless children.
St Anne’s is a good school – OFSTED 2013.
