National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML) The NPQML is a qualification that provides national recognition of your leadership development and professional achievement as a middle leader. The NPQML is designed to support you in becoming a highly effective middle leader, with the skills, confidence and knowledge to drive successful team performance and improved classroom practice. The Fylde Coast Teaching School offers this stage of leadership development: What’s involved in this course? The NPQML is delivered through a highly flexible modular structure. There is the ability to specialise in specific areas to further your personal development and to engage your personal interests through elective modules. To successfully complete the NPQML course you will be required to complete two essential modules and one additional elective module. The typical learning hours required for each module is approximately 50 hours. The learning hours are usually broken into 20 hours of workplace learning on top of online learning, face-to-face activities, practice activities, peer and facilitated learning.
Who should apply ? Anyone who is responsible for leading a team. Typical applicants include subject leaders, heads of departments and pastoral leaders.
Duration: The NPQML course is highly flexible and ranges between 6 - 18 months. We understand that you will have a busy schedule of work and home commitments and we can work around you. The course will take place in one of our Alliance Schools.
