You will remember my including these with the notices some time ago for you to read. As promised in the recent Pastoral Letter from the Bishop, the diocesan consultation is now ready and will remain open for several weeks. It can be accessed at https:/ /www.surveymonkey.com/s/Salford2015 where responses can be entered directly onto the electronic form. This I am told is the best way to complete the questionnaire, since the system will also do the analysis of responses. However I also enclose with these notices a copy of the questionnaire should you prefer to answer the questions in a hard copy form? Please complete these and return them to me and I shall ensure that they are all submitted prior to the deadline of 7th August. In addition to the individual responses we have also been asked to provide a collective response and I propose holding a parish meeting at 7.00pm on Monday 13 th July in Church for that purpose. The personal details are optional so please do not complete that section if you wish your reply to remain anonymous. I prefer to send in replies that have personal details missing than to not send in many replies at all.

Holy Hour at 4.00pm today being the last in our series “Jesus is alive—go and tell my brothers.

Summer Fayre Saturday at 2.00pm. Bakers needed to stock the cake stall please. Also will you now begin to bring to church items to stock the following stalls. Toiletries tinned and dried

food products, toys, books, bric a brac, tombola prizes, bottles and sweets. Thank you.

Summer Raffle tickets are available in the Narthex. Please take some to buy and some to sell. The draw will be made at the Summer Fayre. The list of prizes is in the narthex and if you wish to donate one of the prizes, please indicate.

Steve Bentley is appealing for people willing to man a stall at the summer fayre please speak to him if you are able. He also tells me that tombola prizes are slow coming in. If you can help with this please bring them to Church.

St. Anne’s Book of Remembrance. From January 2015 at the Noon Mass on the first Saturday of each month I shall place “The Book of Remembrance” on the altar and the Mass will be offered for the souls of all those whose names are contained in the book. If you wish the name/s of members of your family recording in the book please complete one of the slips that are available in the Narthex and return it to Fr. Glover with your donation. This will mean that your loved ones will be remembered at Mass each month, in addition to the masses you would normally ask to be offered on their anniversary or in memory of their birthday.

Going into hospital? Don’t forget to inform Fr. Glover on 740 2448 who will advise the Catholic Chaplain or call the chaplain Fr. Matus on 834 4104.

Places in our school. It is essential that any catholic parent who wishes their child to have a place at our school registers them as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR CHILD IS READY TO GO TO SCHOOL as you may find a place isn’t available. If you haven’t registered your child even if a place is available your child’s name and offer of a place will not have been passed to the local education authority by the school and subsequently a place at a non catholic school may well be offered.

Prayer Group 7.30pm until 8.30pm Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets in church every third Sunday of the month 3.00pm until 4.00pm.

Copper Jar. There is a jar next to Francis in the Narthex at St Anne’s Church. We are collecting 1p, 2p and 5p pieces should you have any spare to place in it.
