St Anne’s Parish Fair, takes place on Saturday 4th July. We have been asked to support the fair through two non-uniform days, where we collect goods for the fair in exchange for children wearing their own clothes. These will take place on the following days: Friday 5th June- Unused Toiletries or Groceries Friday 12th June - Unused Cosmetics or Toys.

St Anne’s Feast Day, we will be having a special day to celebrate the feast of St Anne on Friday 10th July. During the afternoon we will be holding a mini school fair for pupils which will include activities such as; hook a duck, various tombola’s, a café, beat the goalie etc.

Newsletters and the School Website, newsletters and information on the school website are made available to parents on a regular basis to keep you informed as to what is happening in school. Please check your child’s bag each week to make sure you receive your copies. We had a number of children turn up for school on Monday/ not turn up for school on Tuesday, due to newsletter not being read.

Health and Safety Reminder-Vomiting and Diarrhoea Bugs.

If your child has been ill with a vomiting or diarrhoea bug, it is important that they stay away from school until 48 hrs after their last episode of sickness. The following is advice issued to schools and Parents by the NHS; St Anne’s is a good school – OFSTED 2013.

Children with diarrhoea and or/vomiting should definitely be kept off school until at least 48 hrs after their symptoms have gone. Most cases of diarrhoea and vomiting in children get better without treatment, but if symptoms persist consult your GP; The school office staff are still sending home a large number of children who have come to school after being sick during the previous 24 hours. This is upsetting for the child who has not fully recovered and also spreads infections to other pupils and staff. Thank you for your support in this matter.

School Behaviour Policy, On Monday 8th June, Mrs Radcliffe, Mrs Regan and Mrs Orrell will be working with pupil leaders ( class ambassadors, chaplains, school council) to review the school behaviour policy.
