Miss Harvey and the staff in KS1 would like to thank all the parents/carers who attended our coffee morning. Hopefully the information about phonics and the phonics test was useful. If parents still have any questions about the Year 1/Year 2 phonics screening test please speak to Miss Harvey or the class teacher. Helping your child with phonics Take time to read with your child every day Play word games such as I-spy (something with a ch sound, something beginning with e, something with a sh sound) Ask your child to show you what they have been learning in their phonics lessons.

Summer Fair Preparation-Next Week Starting on Monday 18th May 2015 The Summer Fair is on Saturday 6th June 11am – 3pm. This year we are asking for children to bring in a donation for the stalls. When a child brings in a donation of chocolate, sweets or a full sealed bottle to the office for the Summer Fair during the week 18th to 21st May they will receive a raffle ticket. This will be drawn on Thursday 21st May in school for a prize. During this week we are also asking children to design the front cover of the programme and hand it to the office by Thursday 21st May 3.30pm. This has been a very successful competition for the past few years and the winning child will receive a great prize on the day of the summer fair.
