Dear Parents and Carers I am writing with details of our forthcoming Easter revision school for our Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 students. The school will be open for students to attend sessions across many departments from 9.3012.30 every day that the academy is open, starting on Monday 30 th March. (Please note that the academy is closed on Good Friday, 3rd April and Easter Monday, 6th April.) A great number of students will be asked to attend particular sessions by their teaching staff as part of a targeted intervention aimed at boosting their examination grades. Where students are not targeted, they are of course welcome to attend any of the sessions that they may find useful. The timetable of these sessions can be found on the academy website. Due to the large number of sessions running this time, we haven’t printed this timetable but any parent/carer wishing to have a copy can request one through reception. Students will be asked to arrive at reception from 9.15 onwards and sign in. This is important for health and safety reasons in that we know who is on the site. Details of the rooming for the sessions will be available from reception. Students will be given a break during the morning sessions but we ask that they do not wander the site as essential maintenance and repairs will be continuing through the holiday period. They are free to bring in their own refreshments to eat during their break. Students will then be free to depart at 12.30 to enjoy their afternoon. Students are requested to select the session that they wish to attend and then remain in that session for the morning. I hope to see all of our students take the opportunity to attend this additional intervention in order to fully equip them for the forthcoming exam season. In the meantime, we would appreciate your support in encouraging your son or daughter to attend the revision school this Easter holiday. Yours sincerely
