Dear Parents, We have booked to take the children to visit the Gordon Brown centre in Hook on Wednesday 11 th and Thursday 12th February. The children will take part in a Roman Day wearing a toga, secured with a handmade roman badge. They will create a Roman village putting up tents in small groups to learn about the Roman army and make a mosaic and Roman pot/tablet. The children will require warm outdoor clothing (including gloves) as we will be outside for the majority of the day whatever the weather. The children must have a warm, waterproof coat and wellingtons, or old waterproof trainers, as it could be very muddy. We are asking for your support in what we hope will be a most enjoyable day and would welcome a contribution of £10.80 towards the cost. Please indicate on the reply slip if you can join us on this trip – we must have sufficient adults to ensure the supervision ratios are met.
