Welcome – the Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and introductions were made.

Minutes of previous meeting held on 12 September 2014 had been circulated. There were no amendments and the Parent Forum agreed them as an accurate record.

Matters arising from the last meeting All action points from the previous meeting were either reported as having been completed or have been updated as per the Action list at the end minutes.

Matters Considered LCH clarified the position of the children being within the family system. She provided an overview regarding the historical reason for mixing Year Groups together, which included to give a sense of belonging and to allow family activities to take place. She stated it was not school policy to mix the classes up each year, but sometimes it is necessary to move children into different classes for their educational benefit and that if children were given a house for life it would mean mixing up the classes into houses and therefore removing the class family feel. The group discussed the recent production of the Christmas Card template and it became apparent that the same process had not been adopted by all staff members. LCH expressed her concern and disappointment at the situation and stated she had nearly not allowed the templates to be given out. She assured the forum that she would be
