St Michael’s CE Junior School

LATEST NEWS School Website Following on from our website media appearance on Tuesday regarding our power outage, the school will only be placing pictures of children on the website who are media and website cleared. Entry to School Dear Parents and Carers, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and were able to rest and recharge the batteries before getting back to the hectic management of day-to-day life. 2015 has already produced its stressful moments not the least being the sub-station burn-out on Tuesday but everything now seems back to normal so that we can get on with our learning and look forward to all the events planned for the coming term. The weather appears to be turning much colder so warm coats, gloves and hats are required to be worn so that the children can get some much needed fresh air at break-times.

The entrance to the Junior School is via the pedestrian gate at the top of the playground. The Blackman Garden gate will only be open in the mornings prior to 9.00am and from 3.05pm in the afternoon to aid pick-up. Outside of these times the gates will remain closed due to security priorities, as they give access to the Infant School and do not have an automatic system point or CCTV. If you require this entrance to be opened outside of the times stated above, please contact the Infant school. Communication I hope that the power cut on Tuesday highlighted the many ways in which we try to communicate with you despite no available telephone lines – email, tweets, website blogs and texts – thank goodness for modern technology!! Many thanks for all the positive comments that we have received from lots of parents! Twitter Do follow us on @StMichaelsCEJun
