Cricket Master class On Monday 10th November 15 children from years 3 & 4 were treated to a Cricket Master class delivered by a West Lancashire School Sports Partnership cricket specialist. The children learnt lots of new skills including overarm bowling and batting, they then got to put their skills into action during a game. All the children had a great morning and are looking forward to the next special sporting event. Dates for Your Diary

Sumdog Competition All classes have been entered into the Sumdog Lancashire Maths Contest which starts today 14th November and goes on to 20th November. As well as being able to take part at home, the computer suite will be open at lunchtimes during the contest if children which to take part during school time. Please see your child’s class teacher if your child is unsure of their password. Good luck everyone!

Girls Liverpool Cup Football Tournament On Tuesday 11th November it was time for the Bishop Martin girls to show off their skills at Glenburn in the Liverpool Cup Football Tournament. The girls played 4 matches winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 1. The schools they played were Moorside, St. James, Woodland and Trinity. All the girls had a fantastic time and gave 100%. A special mention goes to Molly for scoring 3 goals! Team: Louise, Molly, Rhiannon, Shaunna, Ruby, Cailtlin, Paige, Emily and Amy-Louise.

Boys Liverpool Cup Football Tournament Tuesday 4th November saw 10 boys from Bishop Martin Primary School travelled to JMO for a football tournament involving 14 local primary schools. The boys played 6 matches. They played St. James, Delphside, Holland Moor, Moorside, Brookfield Park and Hillside. The boys fought hard in each match and ended up winning 1, drawing 2 and losing 3. Fantastic behaviour, team work and attitude were shown throughout the tournament. Team: Saul, Josh, Joel, Koby, Che, Keelan, Phillip, Bailey, Stevie and Bradley.
