Pupil and Service Children Premium The Pupil Premium is additional funding allocated to schools for pupils who are registered as eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years or are Looked After Children (LAC) who have been looked after for 1 day or more or were adopted from care on or after 30th December 2005. To register or for more information, visit: www.hants.gov.uk/caterers/hc3s-freeschoolmeals Schools decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since it is recognised that they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility. The Service Children Premium is funding allocated to schools for each pupil with a parent in the armed forces. The Ministry of Defence has recently announced that the Service Children Premium will be extended to include pupils whose parent has left the services up to four years ago. Please inform the school if either parent is in the services or has been in the last four years. The Service Children Premium is £300 per pupil.
