Autumn Term November & December 2014

In November, our main focus was anti-bullying week and I’d like to thank you all for your uplifting messages on the Tree of Kindess. Every time I read these, they make me smile . In December, we are supporting the work of Save the Children by holding a Christmas Jumper Day (Thursday 11th December – please put this date in your diary). So start sourcing your Christmas Jumper now. I’ve got mine! And we are remembering the 1914 Christmas Eve ‘Truce’ – where both sides put aside their differences and came together to play football. A lesson for us all. So on the 18th December either join in our Christmas Truce Football tournament or come along and support. Angela
17th – 21st November 2014 National Anti-Bullying Week
The ‘Anti-Bullying Alliance’ asked schools and colleges to take action to stop the bullying of ALL children and young people – including disabled children and those with special educational needs – children who are significantly more likely to experience bullying in schools and the wider community.
Carol Mitchell has done another wonderful display in the Dining Room to promote antibullying week.
