Friday, July 18, 2014 Dear Parent/Carer, Alton Towers Trip – Monday 21st July. Please find below the final details for the trip on Monday. Departure Times Students should be in school NO LATER than 7:30am, coaches will leave from 7:30am. We will not wait for students who are late. Return Times We will leave Alton Towers at approximately 5PM, returning between 7:30PM and 8PM (approx.). We will inform school when we leave Alton Towers and the office staff will be aware of our estimated time of arrival back at Unity. A message confirming this time will be left on the school answer phone once the office closes at 5:30pm. Clothing Students do not need to wear school uniform for the visit, students should remember that they are in the same clothes all day and they will not be able to get changed (particularly after they have been on water rides!). Sensible clothing and footwear is required, Alton Towers is large and built on a hilly environment, therefore lots of walking will be part of the day. Students will be required to wear a wristband with emergency contact numbers on the day. Spending Money Whilst we are not providing an upper or lower limit of money, we anticipate that if students are bringing money to spend this should be between £10 and £20. Students are responsible for their own money and neither Unity Academy or Alton Towers are responsible for lost money. Food & Drink A packed lunch will be provided for students, please ensure they have breakfast before leaving on Monday. Students may decide to bring additional food or drink with them for during the day or the journey home. Drinks and Food in the park are quite expensive, drinks start at £2.50, although containers with free refills all day are available for £7. Some special offer vouchers are available to print on the Alton Towers website.
