We had a lovely time on Monday afternoon during our sponsored sing. We started off with encouraging video messages from Merrill and Justin Osmond and from Matthew English (the deaf boy who came to visit Bishop Martin in April) then we sang 50 songs in just over an hour. Some we signed, some were in Spanish, some Music Hall, some with a football theme and some Worship songs and Nursery rhymes too. The Nursery children had their own Sing a thon where they did really well singing their own 10 songs. Thank you for all the generous contributions that have come in so far. Please keep collecting your sponsor money and bring it into school so that we can help not only deaf children but also so that we can provide some extra music resources for school.

Miss Berry and Miss McKnight are again ‘bravely’ attempting to swim across Lake Windermere in one hour on Saturday this time to raise funds for our school. We wish them both good weather and good luck. If you wish to sponsor either of them please contact the school.

Well Done 98.5% for whole school attendance The minimum acceptable attendance is 95%.

Please ensure your children are in school every day and on time. School starts at 8.55am.

1. 2. 3. 4.

Only plastic bottles to be used. Please use a bottle with a sports cap on it. Only use normal drinking water (tap water is absolutely fine). Once a drink from home has been used up, pupils will not be allowed to refill them in school. They will, of course, always be allowed to get a drink from the water fountain if they wish.

This last rule is very important. All pupils drink water from the water fountains throughout the year. I'm sure you can appreciate the potential difficulties it would present if all pupils started bringing in different flavoured drinks to have in class. This is just something the leadership of the school cannot authorise. Summer Raffle

We are holding a summer raffle where you will have a chance to win one of 5 prizes: Family ticket for 4 to Sea Life Center (Manchester), Family ticket for 4 to Legoland (Manchester), Lady’s Hugo Boss Orange perfume gift set, Black tower or Echo Falls. Tickets are 50p each and are available in

the office now until 18th July. Good Luck!
