Every Tuesday Young People's Service runs a parent and baby group where mums aged 16-19 have the opportunity to get together and have fun with their babies. They can also get help and support with things such as benefits, housing, employment, education, health and relationships. By joining the group, mums can access other activities like baby first aid, baby massage, day trips, swimming sessions and photo shoots with their baby - the list goes on.

Skelmersdale YPS offers ongoing day to day support with any aspects which may affect a person’s life. This includes: Information and advice; Housing and benefits; Support with CVs, education employment and training opportunities; Sexual health services. Within the centre we host monthly vists by training providers/employers offering information on courses, employment and apprenticeships. Staff are available to support with writing CVs and registering with the National Apprenticeship website and similar organisations. Some young people may also be entitled to free bus passes. Staff will be able to support on A Level & GCSE results day in the centre and for GCSE there will be YPW available in each local secondary school.
