Why do Hindus believe in many gods? To introduce pupils to the religious experience of the multitude of people in Britain and worldwide who belong to faiths other than Christianity. Pupils will be helped to understand their fellow citizens, whether represented in the school or not, and in the hope that greater understanding will lead to a respectful and harmonious society. English This learning challenge will encourage discussion and reflection about other Faiths other than Christianity. Children’s speaking and listening skills will be developed as they consider the customs, beliefs and place of worship of the Islamic Faith.

What Is The Holy Book Of Hindus? What stories important to Hindus? Why Do Hindus Believe In Many Gods? What Is A Rangoli Pattern? Do Hindus Have Celebrations? Reflection Children to create a class display detailing all the things they have learnt about Hinduism.

Digital Literacy This Learning Challenge could be enhanced by the use of I-pads and computer software in various ways, such as: Using the internet to research key questions within the challenge. Creating e-books, presentations and Apps using the research material found. Other Curricular Links History/Geography – Hinduism founded in India. Art/Design- creating artwork based on symbols and stories of the Faith.
