Headteacher – Mrs A Gray Y6 Forest School On Tuesday, Y6 Lions braved the weather to take part in a Forest School session at the Beacon as part of our theme: 'I'm a Year 6...Get me out of here!' We had lots of fun building shelters and learned how to use a range of tools. We especially enjoyed defrosting around the campfire with toasted marshmallows and warm chocolate bread.

Attendance figures for week ending 25th October 2013. Congratulations to the Lions on achieving 100% Y6 – Lions Y4/5 – Dolphins Y4/5 - Owls Y3 - Penguins Y1/2 – Otters R – Caterpillars Y2 - Squirrels

Football Report On Tuesday evening Mr McDonald and Mr Birchall took our new look football team to Glenburn to compete in the Liverpool Cup. We played four matches and they had everything: goal line scrambles, amazing saves, penalty misses, crossbar strikes and referee controversy! The great news is that the team competed at an incredible level in terms of attitude, commitment and skill. They did the school proud. We drew all four games: 1-1 (vs Moorside), 0-0 (vs St. James), 0-0 (vs Trinity) and 1-1 (vs Little Digmoor). This means we can say we are unbeaten for the year! We finished 3rd in our group so unfortunately didn't progress to the next round but the team really did do the school proud! Well done! The team was: Ricky (Y6), Adam (Y6), Callum (Y6), Neve (Y6), Saul (Y5), Josh (Y5), Joel (Y5), Bradley (Y4), Callum (Y4). HELP!! Christmas Gift and Games Fair Tuesday 3rd December
