BEATLEMANIA! What a week for the Owls and Dolphins it has been! First there was a fantastically entertaining joint class assembly on Wednesday performed TWICE (once to parents and juniors, once to the infants)! Thank you for the huge support from everyone who came to watch, the children really appreciated it! Then yesterday, the pupils visited 'The Beatles Story' at the Albert Dock in Liverpool to finish off their theme work for this half-term. It has been an amazing theme to explore and the pupils have gained so much knowledge and learnt so many new skills in a range of subjects. Watch out for the next exciting theme in store for the Owls and Dolphins next half-term, mysteriously called, "Damsels, Dungeons and Dragons!" In the driver's seat! As part of their transport topic, Caterpillars got the chance to explore their teachers' cars. They had a great time pretending to drive, looking under the bonnet and learning how a car works.
Football News Last week the school sent a Year 3/4 team (for the first time ever!) to take part in a football tournament at the JMO. The team played four games: We beat St.Francis 6-4, beat Dalton St. Michaels 6-3, lost 4-2 to Holland Moor and lost 3-0 to Trinity. The pupils were amazing and the level of skill on show proves that the future looks good for Bishop Martin football! Well done team who were: Bradley (Y4), Callum (Y4), Molly (Y4), Louise (Y4), Mareks (Y4), Harvey (Y3) and Lloyd (Y3).
