Don't forget swimming! Year 5 Monday Year 6 Wednesday

WOW! Activities in the Dolphins and Owls As part of our enrichment programme to enhance the curriculum for the pupils, the Dolphins and Owls had a visit from the Cuerden Birds of Prey on Tuesday and Blackpool Sea Life Centre on Wednesday. This was to support and inspire the pupils in their topic 'Into the Wild!' for this half-term. Both classes had an owl-maxing experience with the Birds of Prey. We saw the hawks in flight and some lucky children held an owl. We all learnt some new facts and were interested to learn that not all owls are nocturnal (you can tell by the colour of their eyes!). With the life centre the children got to handle crabs, starfish, mermaid's purses and also see a live shark egg! The level of learning really was incredible and the behaviour exceptional. It really has been a WOW! week for the Dolphins and Owls so look forward for more amazing activities from Mr McDonald and Mr Morris!
