St Anne’s RC Primary School Pupil Premium Grant Expenditure 2011/12 Dear Parents The pupil premium is a new government initiative that targets extra money at pupils from deprived backgrounds. As part of this initiative we will be reporting to parents on a yearly basis as to how this money has been spent.

• Providing social and emotional support/interventions to improve attendance and support for vulnerable children and families • Provide personalised learning opportunities through 1-1 tuition and small group tuition.

• Learning mentor support (70%) • 1-1 tuition (9%) • External Music tuition – small group and 1-1 -10% • Trips and visitors 11% Outcomes to date • A large majority of pupils in the pupil premium cohort made accelerated progress across the school in English and Maths.

• St Anne’s pupil premium cohort performed significantly above Manchester LA in English, maths and English and Maths combined.

• Overall Attendance improved across KS1&2 94.71% 2010/11 95.3% 2011/12
