Literacy Non fiction: We will be researching Dinosaurs and writing our own information books and creating simple reports. Poetry: Dinosaur poems. Narrative: Write an exciting story set in the land before time. We will continue to use interesting connectives, and adjectives.

Universal church unit – Neighbours We will be learning that we have neighbours all around. We will be learning that everyone is our neighbour and is loved by God.

Dinosaur songs - We will use a variety of instruments to experiment with beat, rhythm and tempo.

The Easter story.

Maths We will be focussing on number and calculations this half term.

Linked to Topic Handling data and measures Create a class pictogram or graph of favourite dinosaurs Measure the estimated length or height of a dinosaur. Calculating, measuring and understanding shape. Creating dinosaur pictures using various shapes, 2D and 3D.

Use internet texts to gather information for our reports in Literacy. Use ICT as a way of producing dinosaur art work and texts to be included in our information books.

Exploring Materials: We will use different materials to create dinosaur images including pastels, charcoal, paint, collage and ICT.

We will be looking at what the Dinosaurs ate, how they moved and their similarities and differences. We will be researching We will be sorting dinosaurs based on various criteria.

Geography / History PE We will be focusing on co-ordination and skills. Tennis and gymnastics.
