Suggested improvements  More support  Better sports equipment and more sports for girls  Get more books  Be able to check what’s left on dinner accounts online  Check or ensure pupils have written homework down correctly  More info about homework when/how much before they start year 7  Text message on event (parent evenings, trips) non uniforms/ if school closes early Our response  There are various ways in which we support our students: we use teaching assistants in lessons to provide extra support to those students who need it; staff run homework clubs at 3pm; there is a well-established pastoral system and older students also act as buddies to support our younger students socially and academically. We always appreciate new ideas so please contact us if you can think of additional ways of supporting students.  We constantly review the resources we have available in school for the students and aim to use them as effectively as possible.  We will investigate enabling parents online access to their child’s dinner account.  The setting of homework is currently an area of discussion for us and Heads of Faculty are reviewing the policy. We try to ensure that students have sufficient time to write down their homework in the lesson as we appreciate that this is important for parents.  We will discuss how email and text links with parents can be used more effectively to provide relevant information.
