Our response  We are keen to develop our communication and will discuss how email and text links with parents can be used more effectively to provide relevant information.  We run a support evening for parents of students in year that focuses on supporting students through the exam period. We will look to put something on for parents of year 10 students that will allow you to put the foundations of support in place, which can be built on in year 11.  The setting of homework is currently an area of discussion for us and Heads of Faculty are reviewing the policy.  We understand that filling in several medical forms might be frustrating at times. However, we need to ensure the safety of students on all trips and to do so we need to make sure that all details are up to date.  Hair can be dyed as long as it is a natural colour. The school rule regarding piercings is one small stud is allowed in each ear apart from during PE lessons when they should be removed. Retainers can be worn providing they are flat and not raised.
