To celebrate World Book day this year we dressed-up on Thursday 7th March. Children and staff came to school dressed as book characters. Throughout the special day, the children took part in book related activities to promote their love of reading.

www.bishopmartin.lancs.sch.uk BIG PRIZE RAFFLE Our staff in the Foundation Stage are raising money to buy a large hard wearing painting easel for the children. They are selling raffle tickets at £1 per strip in the unit with plenty of chances to win. The draw will take place on Thursday 18th April. Pop along at home times to get your tickets and see all the fantastic prizes on offer.

Children’s Easter Raffle th
From Monday 11 March children can get their Easter Raffle tickets from the office only 20p each for a chance to win Camelot tickets (these can be used at Gulliver’s World), Chocolate Easter Chick and Creme Eggs. This will be drawn W/C 25th March 2013. Good Luck!!!
Red Nose Day It is RED NOSE DAY on Friday 15th March. In school, we are having a non-uniform day to raise money for Comic Relief. The children can come to school wearing something red if they choose to, or just their own clothes. We will also be painting red noses etc… using face paints for 50p. Donations from children wearing non-uniform will be collected in school. Plus, there will be a cake sale at break time. Cakes will cost 20p each. If you are able to donate any cakes to support Red Nose Day please bring them in a sealed container on the morning of Friday 15th March. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
